The situation is as follows. We use PPM 6.1 in combination with CATS.
Initially we plan an amount of work + start/end date on the basic data tab of a PPM task. We assign a role and resource, and use 'update role according to task' in order to update the planned work on the role level.
Next, we do confirmations in CATS on the PPM task (CATSDB extended to include roleID as well). The result is that the actual hours are visible on the basic tab as Confirmed Work and that the Remaining work is updated. However, the demand on the Role is not updated, even after using 'update role according to task'
We'd like to change this as such that this function uses the Remaining effort to calculate demand on role and Business PArtner and to distribute the work over time buckets.
Is this anyhow possible using standard config, or do we need to modify coding/implement a Badi?
