Hi
Working with an Australian client, the system is configured with Fiscal year variant V6 where the Financial year is from July to June. The standard SAP Fiscal year variant V6 has following period settings.
Table-1: Fiscal Year Variant settings
Month | Day | Period | Year Shift |
1 | 31 | 7 | 0 |
2 | 29 | 8 | 0 |
3 | 31 | 9 | 0 |
4 | 30 | 10 | 0 |
5 | 31 | 11 | 0 |
6 | 30 | 12 | 0 |
7 | 31 | 1 | +1 |
8 | 31 | 2 | +1 |
9 | 30 | 3 | +1 |
10 | 31 | 4 | +1 |
11 | 30 | 5 | +1 |
12 | 31 | 6 | +1 |
In PPM Customizing, the global switches 0010-0006 (Fiscal Year Switch (see SAP Note 1457426)) and 0010-0007 (Default Fiscal year variant (see SAP Note 1457426)) has been overridden with values 'X' and 'V6'.
Now the global switches have changed the Financial Planning Dashboard headers as per below table's columns 'Month in Header' and 'Year in Header'. As you can see, the 'Year in Header' from Jan to Jun is 2016 for Calendar year 2016, whereas it is 2017 for months Jul to Dec. This is because in Fiscal year variant (Table-1), the Year shift is +1 for month 7 to 12.
Table-2: Display headings in Financial Planning Dashboard
Month | Calendar Year | Month in Header | Year in Header |
1 | 2016 | Jan | 2016 |
2 | 2016 | Feb | 2016 |
3 | 2016 | Mar | 2016 |
4 | 2016 | Apr | 2016 |
5 | 2016 | May | 2016 |
6 | 2016 | Jun | 2016 |
7 | 2016 | Jul | 2017 |
8 | 2016 | Aug | 2017 |
9 | 2016 | Sep | 2017 |
10 | 2016 | Oct | 2017 |
11 | 2016 | Nov | 2017 |
12 | 2016 | Dec | 2017 |
Due to the year shift for V6, the headers are obviously misleading and the client is requesting that the financial planning dashboard should show the correct Month and Year combination.
I have raised an incident with SAP to resolve this issue as client is not going to accept the complete solution without the requested feature, and SAP is not willing to provide any Note for this.
Has anyone come across this issue? Please share your experience in this regard.
