PPM tab is missing in Portal

Hi Experts,

 

We recently moved from SAP PPM 5.0 to PPM 6.1 and while testing I found that PPM tab is missing . I have attached the screen shot compairing both the system (Development) and Testing. We have upgraded our Development system so far.

Kindly suggest what went wrong and what can be done to recover the missing tabs/fields.

How to activate/deactivate field in PPM item window

Hi Experts,

 

I have an issue in activating field 'Financial Planning Start/Finish" under Overview tab of PPM item. I am unable to find respective technical field for it and I believe the path would be: SPRO_> PPM-> Global Customizing->Global field Settings->Define custom field configuration.

Could you please provide me some information on the usage of this t-code LPD_CUST in PPM and the settings it triggers.

 

Could be a basic question from my side, but I want to know about this t-code as I have not used it earlier. Its risks/impacts etc.

PPM item Financial planning screen modification

In PPM item financial planning section I am getting an additional blank row (which is not required for us) as shown below:

Creating Item Snapshot

Hi,

 

I have a requirement to create item+project snapshot at certain conditions, including when its status or status of its decision points changes.

I found advice to use FM /RPM/ITEMS_VERS_CREATE_SYNCH in BADI RPM_PROJ_CUST_FIELDS as described here:

PPM: Create Item Version Snapshot When the Portfolio Item Status is changed

Unfortunately calling this FM in both CUST_PROJ_ON_COMMIT_CHANGES and ON_END_OF_TRANSACTION methods results in dump.

Interestingly enough, the same code in Decision Point BADI works fine.

Any ideas?

Replication of PS with CProjects

I want to replicate the PS - WBS, Networks, Activities to CProjects.  Please let me know the configuration steps / methods to replicate the data from PS to Cprojects.

 

I have configured the object types and other integration settings.

Total up line item in Financial Planning

Hi All,

 

Even after doing the standard configuration, I am able to see a Total Up Line item for all the Views as in below screen shot.

In actual, the first line should not be displayed as its going to total for me all line items (in this case, budget, commitment, actual) which is wrong. How could I eliminate this. Any advice.

PPM dashboard screen is truncated after upgrade to PPM 6.1

Dear Experts,

After we upgrade to PPM 6.1, I found that PPM dashboard screen is truncated as shown below:AD.png

If you look in above screen shot (red block) you will see that the item dashboard screen is truncated and hidden. Could you please tell me how can I retrieve it to back to its original form. I have this screen expanded and full in DEV environment.

Moving items from one Bucket to another

Hi All,

 

I have the below scenario, if you can help me out

 

I have Bucket A , under which I have 100 items,

 

Later Business decides that they need 2 more Sub Buckets B and C to be created under A, as below

 

Bucket A

-----------------Sub Bucket B

-----------------Sub Bucket C

 

In this case, system wont allow me creating bucket B and C in first place.

 

How can I achieve my scenario of creating these buckets and transferring Items / Initiatives created from Sub Bucket 1 to Sub Bucket 2

Item Financial Planning not updated

Hello,

 

I have linked an Item with a PS project (account Assignmt) and executed transfer from ECC to PPM. All is OK on the planning view of the Item, i can see Actual costs on the actual view i have customised.

 

I then took off the link with the project et excuted again RPM_FICO_DATA_TRANSFER. Table RPM_FIDATA is emty for that Item but when i go to the planning screen of the Item, I still see actual costs.

 

I have tried /RPM/FIN_PLAN_INT but without success.

Hi all

 

could you please help me to get the role for to get the authorization at this below shown level

 

i am getting error ""You require authorization to display Project xxxxxx"

 

when i navigating thorugh Portfolio> bucket> item > phase

 

and same error while navigating Portfolio> bucket> item >Project> tasks

 

 

I have provided  provided below roles SAP_BPR_PPM, SAP_CPR_BCV_USER, SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_CPR_TEMPLATE_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_CPR_USER, SAP_RPM_BCV_USER, SAP_XRPM_USER, SAP_XRPM_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_BCV_USER

 

still i am not getting disply or edit at above mentioned level's

cFolders and PPM 6.1

Hello Gurus.

 

We plan to use PPM 6.1 with cFolders as master document management system. We've already installed CPRXRPM 610_740, now we are trying to install cFolders, but information we found and configuration guides (https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000002672&_EVENT=DISPLAY&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000122&_HIER_…) tells us that cFolders are implemented within cProject Suite 4.5 (CPRXRPM 450_700) which is older then component we've already installed. So till now we don't know what component we need to install and what version.

 

Any help appreciated and will be rewarded.

Is there a maintenance table to maintain rates by the user. Or is configuration the only option in PPM to maintain rates?

Item financial planning with supplier detail

Hello experts,

 

We are configuring PPM 6.10 and I have a particular requirement from my Customer dealing with Item planning process.

 

My client would like to plan costs at a supplier lever in order to agregate budget per supplier and be able to discuss and optimise purchasing.

 

It is not possible to make it using Types nor Categories because it should be dynamic (hundreds of suppliers ...).

 

Idea ? I thought about using Easy Cost Planning in Project level and then agregate Financial on Items ...

PPM Dashboard - Global View

Hi experts,

 

We are now facing the a problem related to modifying dashboards views for multiple users.

 

We are using transaction PFCG to modify dashboard layout for a specific role SAP_BPR_PPM:

We get to modify it. And, if it's done via customizing, I save changes on a customizing request order.

 

But, when other users access this dashboard they do not get to see the chancges I have made.

 

I've also tried via personalization in this same tcode (PFCG), but it doesn't seem to be working.

 

I read that by adding &sap-config-mode=x to the end of the address we can open the application in administration mode, but not sure if that is the right option.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,

 

I create a Item with a External ID say ABC001, when I take a snapshot version of the same and check the version, then item number within version is shown as internal system number. Is this standard behavior? or if not, how do I get the Item number in version snap shot?

 

Am I missing anything?

Phase Type and Initiative Status

Hi All,

 

When I create a Initiative, a phase is automatically added to the Decision Point I created. Is it a standard setting or can I remove this phase?

 

Also Is possible to configure Initiative Status (Not DP Status)
