We arebuilding up the integration of actual work (hours) from CATS to PPM Item Capacity planning. We acknowledge there is the FI/CO integration available for this action (SAP Portfolio and Project Management -> Portfolio Management -> Base System Interfaces -> CapacityPlanning Settings
-> Map capacity view to cost elements). However, as we understand, there should be one cost element or activity type in use for each combination of capacity category and capacity group (we only have one relevant capacity view). In our case we only have one cost element or activity type for all the work performed in the company and this will not be changed. Creation of new activity types is also out of question.
The other option in the same configuration node, Map capacity view to role functions, cannot be used either, as we book hours to tasks, not roles. Moreover, in that view it is not possible to choose actual work, but only Role Demand and Resource Assignment.
Is there any other standard way to integrate actual work (hours) from CATS to Capacity planning, or should we plan a custom enhancement?
