I was about to begin an SAP implementation and wanted to evaluate cProjects to run it. The problem I'd like to solve is to adequately track all of the tasks without having an army of project managers updating tasks all of the time. We all are intimately familiar with MS Project and would love to use that - but with close to 10,000 tasks there is no way we can get status updates on a regular basis efficiently.
I'd like to build the initial plan in MS Project, import into cProjects so that resources can confirm tasks directly over there. Any major changes to the structure of the project would be done in MS Project (import and export). I specifically don't want any financial integration, HR integration or anything else that might complicate things. I'm interested in the reporting that I would be able to do with it, but that's not the deal breaker. It'd be great to use the Fiori mobile app for confirmations, but that also isn't a deal breaker.
How difficult is this going to be? I've got confidence in my MS Project (as well as Primavera) skills so I'm comfortable with the subject matter...just not the tool. What am I not considering? Anything else I should be pushing?
