PS - PPM (Item) Integration of actual hours

Hi all,

 

I have setup automatic accounting integration, but I'm facing issues when I want to transfer actual hours from PS to Item capacity Planning. I post hours via CAT2 and run CAT7 report afterwards in ERP. I can see the hours in the project i  ERP. I run /RPM/FICO_INT_PLANNING in PPM (with Integration and Planning selected) and I can see the cost of the hours in RPM_FIDATA. I posted some hours in February and some hours in March.

 

My issue is, that I can only see the hours posted in February in my Item Capacity Planning. I can't see the hours posted in March. Posted with same sender cost center, same CO area, same act. type, same wbs element.

 

I tried to run /RPM/CAP_PLAN_INT report as well. When I run this the hours does actually show for both February and March, but the hours doubles.

 

 

Anyone who can help me?

Time Entry Solutions for Project Management

I am trying to understanding various time entry/confirmation solutions that can be used in a PPM-PS/FICO implementation with light number of resources.

I understand CATS integration (with HR) can be a little heavy/complex. At the same time, I know actuals cannot be posted in Project management.

We are looking for a simple solution with actuals posted against PS WBS or CO I/O and at the same time have time entry in some fashion with tie-back to PPM. If the process is manual by Project manager, that could also work.

 

Is there some unique/simple time entry solutions? Something like integrated simple webpage development or I also heard of PS-direct activity allocations.

Any thoughts?

Project upload - SAP PPM

Hi,

       We are trying to upload projects from MS excel to PPM and are using the program DPR_DX_PROJECT. The log says that the project structure has been created but we do not see the project created in the database. We have also applied the note 1876370. Could someone let us know what could be the problem?

PPM 6.0 - Portfolio Item Mass update configuration

Hi PPM Experts,

 

I would like to remove a particular field from the Mass update screen(Portfolio items) and the same should be available in item dashboard. In SPRO, can see the item dashboard configuration and can be controlled.

 

System/Version: PPM 6.0

 

Questions: How do we control(remove/enable or disable edit) the Mass update screen fields for Portfolio items?

PPM 6.1 - Capacity planning - upload planned demand from project to Item and Bucket level

Hi

 

I'm struggling a bit to upload capacity demand from the project to Capacity planning on Item and Bucket level. I get no values in the Assigned Resources Category on Item level. I've ran report /RPM/FICO_INT_PLANNING, but no values are displayed.

 

I'm pretty sure I've missed some basic customizing, but cannot figure out what is missing. Configuration related to Rollup should be correct.Capacity Planning.jpg

 

Any ideas?

cFolder BOM Export:BOM usage issue

Hi All,

 

I am currently working for a project which implement the cFolder functionality.

the main function is to export the BOM information from the backend system to the cFolder specific folder.

I got an issue when I calll the transaction:CFE02

the steps:

1. a new BOM usage of service is created in SPRO

2. a new BOM with BOM usage: S is created

3. Call trasaction:CFE02 and specific folder name

4. Consistency check and get green light

5. Click" copy object" button, a red light received.

the error message: Invalid value '9' has been entered for attribute 'BOM_Usage' in namespace ''. Ask your system administrator to add value '9' to the list of values allowed for this attribute."

Message no. CFX_BI_RI_MSG1302

 

6. check the cfolder specific folder: all the header material and BOM item material numbers are there, however, single click the BOM header, the content of this BOM is empty.

 

Does anyone could give me some hint to solve this issue? thanks a lot!

Item Tab Missing on cProjects

Hi All,

 

 

We create cProjects for Item, but unfortunate I am not able to get Item tab
on cProjects.

 

 

Once project get automatically create from Item , the Project normally have
item tab on it , with which i can navigate to item by just one click.

 

 

Applicate of some on can help me what I am missing in configuration.

 

 

We are using PPM5.0 on solution manager but i feel it hardly make any difference
in this issue.

PPM 6.1 - Questionnaire assignment to field not saved

Hi

 

I've set up two questionnaires in our development system and assigned these to two different fields on Item level in the "Field Service Configuration". Works perfect in the development system.

 

After moving the configuration to Quality system I have done the same excercise where I create a new portfolio structure and assigning the questionnaires to the same fields as in development. For some reason, I'm not able to save my settings. At refresh the assignment to the field in "Field Service Configuration" is lost.

 

Can this somehow be related to authorizatoins? I'm supposed to have identical access rights in Development and Quality system.

cFolders Implementation Prerequisites

Hello All,

 

           We are planning to implement cFolders. I would like to know

 

1. Minimal Hardware requirements,

2. S/W license and Cost.


I came across Master Guide, Application Operation Guide of cFolders from service market place. But the above two things are not clear to me.


I have gone through the FAQ of cFolders 3.0, But I want the FAQ of cFolders 4.5. Where will I get this document?

SAP DIR creation from cFolders

Hello All,

 

          The business process is like this.... The users are having access to cFolders. They place a document in cFolders and the requirement is, the document place by user should be created as a DIR in SAP.  How to achieve this? any BADI's available for document creation from cFolders?

SAP PPM on SAP Solution Manager and BI reporting

Hi All,

 

We are using SAP PPM 5.0 on Solution manager and  having below PPM and BI component. We activated all SAP PPM related BI content and can see all web templates are opening but we are not able to get BW data of PPM projects we created.

 

Appreciate if someone can give me some pointers how to load data source to BI content of solution manager.  We don not have any connection to any other BI server.

Portfolio item to Sales order object link

Hello Team,

 

I have a scenario where i have to link the Portfolio item to Sales order and there was no standard object types available in the the system so i created the Z object type and maintained the configuration as shown in the screenshot. But when I added the object type in the objects links tab in portfolio item and tried to searc the sales order i get the error saying" "search provided no results, choose other search criteria".

 

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Transaction tab - Creation of task in Project Management

Hello experts,

 

I am working on integration of ChaRM with PPM in SolMan.

 

All the configuration settings are done regarding integration.

 

But when I try to create a task under a phase, I do not see the "Transaction" tab from where I can access the Change object.

cFolders installation for external collaboration scenario

Hello All,

 

          We are implementing cFolders. I would like to know how the external users will access the cFolders? I came across extranet or internet concept of accessing cFolders.

However, I did not get the details like how to do firewall settings for cFolders, DMZ concept for cFolders installation.

PPM - Configure Portfolio Structure Graphic

Hi Experts,

 

I was able to display the tab Porfolio Structure Graphic in my PPM and it also displays an interactive structure that works perfectly. My question is can I modify the size, color or style of this display? Currently, it displays a big structure that doesn't fit the page so I have to scroll it left-right and up-down. We are wondering if the size is adjustable or simply, is it possible to configure the font? If yes, can you share how this can be done?

cFolder_BOM Sortstring display and BOM export issue

Hi All,

 

I want the the BOM item sortstring could be displayed in cFolder as well, can any one advice how to make it available?

meanwhile, when I export the BOM from cFolder with CSV format, however, the Quantity field is missing!!!

I want the quantity and sortstring both could be seen in the download file. how can it be done?

Custom Fields in Initiative Management - SuPM

Hi All,

 

Please help me in adding the custom fields in Initiative Management screen. We are completely blank with it.

 

We have to add few more fields in general tab. I have attached the screen shot for the same.

Unable to create snashots and simulation

Hello Friends,

 

I have a issue in version creation in cProjects 5.0

 

I have maintained the required input templates in the SPRO and have the required authorizations.

When i try to create the versions in cprojects i get the error "Version '0000000222...' does not exist"

and Version : You do not have authorizations to create.

Please if some one has the step by step procedure of version management please share with me

Please advice am i missing anythg or its a bug so that i can go ahead and create the OSS message.

Enabling navigation link in Portfolio Items dashboard

Hi,

 

We are in process of upgrading from RPM 4.5 to PPM 6.0. I need help on configuring navigation settings, enabling links to navigate to respective detail screens in portal.

 

I have configured standard portal content that came with PPM business package, when I check the screen for "Portfolio Items', "Portfolio Structures' etc as highlighted in attached screenshot, I don't see navigation links enabled for "Name"(Project Description), "ID" (Project ID) etc columns by default. I need help on configuration that enables links for these columns in dashboard Portal Pages.

 

Could someone provide help on this.
