Hiding tabs in ppm 5.0

Hi,

 

i am trying to hide some tabs from the project overview screen.The steps i followed are below.

 

Created a new FPM variant from RPM_ITEM_DETAILS_OIF by copying the RIH_EDIT.

Created a new portfolio type.

Created new launchpad roles, set the Navigation settings and did assignment of the roles/variants/portfolio type in the Object context navigation and related object context navigation.

 

But the changes to the Variant are not getting reflected to the Project. We have some similar customization for one more portfolio type and it works properly i mean the changes to the variant do get reflected to item.

 

Am I missing any step here? ( is there anything like Portfolio type <-> launch pad role mapping ) ?

 

Please do suggest if any one have some idea on this?

Change list values of DDK_STAT_CHANGE

Hello!

 

I have a problem:

I need to display one of stats (I1192) from list values of DDK_STAT_CHANGE (DropDownByKey) in view VI_DET_BAS_DPO only when user have Admin role (from tab Authorization). How I can view or doesn't view this stat?

 

Or I can go another way:

check the status = 'I1192' and user role = 'Admin' and clear the status, if user rule isn't 'Admin'.

 

But I don't now, how to do it.

PPM user cannot update responsible resource

Hi All,

this is my problem:

i assigned a role responsible to a task and released it.

when the user edit the task can change all information except the responsible resource ( in order to assign itself to the task).

the user has the following roles :

 

SAP_BPR_PPM

SAP_CPR_MEMBER

SAP_CPR_RESOURCE_MANAGER

SAP_CPR_USER

SAP_CPR_USER

SAP_CPR_USER

SAP_XRPM_USER

 

may you help me? it is some role missing?

Attached the screen that the user sees.

Restrict search results of accounting objects (internal order)

Hi,

 

we have a requirement to restrict the search results of internal order in the accounting tab.

 

As there are internal order in the system, which are closed/cancelled/etc. by our CO departement, these IOs must not be shown to the PPM-user (Project Lead or PPM Admin) who assigns them to a project.

 

Is there a way to restrict the result list to certain IOs?

 

The BADIs I found are related to searches referring to resources/staffing functions.

None for search views in the accounting tab

 

Anyone can help? Ideas?

Multiple Item Creation - additional fields

Hi Experts,

 

We are trying to use the multiple item creation functionality of SAP PPM, as an alternative to mass upload since ours still have some issues to resolve.

 

Does anyone here knows how to add more columns to the multiple item creation fields?

We need to put some categorization fields aside from the category in the item classification tab.

Saving task - class cl_dpr_task_o method get_data_ext

Hi experts.

 

Had anyone such bug: developer trying to use class cl_dpr_task_o and method get_data_ext for read user status.

Structure return name of user status (STATTXT), but does not return code of status (STSMA).

Is it bug or not?

MS Project Integration

Hi, we are trying to import an MS Project into cProjects but we get an error that "Security List is Invalid". We have set up the whitelist in the backend and ACF has also been set up in the individual PCs. Could someone guide us on what could be the issue?

Bucket ACL import from Excel

Hi all,

 

Can anyone explain to me how the import from excel to Buckets work when I want to change multiple users ACL (or actually I just want to delete the ACL for multiple users). In a bucket it is possible to add Multiple users and assign the same ACL for all of them, but when we need to change these it can only be done for one user at a time. I can't even remove the ACL for all users in one go.

 

So I was hoping that the import to bucket from Excel could help me here. I am unsure or what values to input when downloading the DX layout template. This template gives me four cells to fill:

 

1. External ID (I assume this is the bucket external ID

2. Activity (I assume this is the ACL meaning either ADMIN, WRITE, READ or NONE?????)

3. User (Here I assume this is username of the resource I want to change/delete the ACL)

4. Role ID (I assume this is the PFCG role if this was what I wanted to change ACL for?)

 

 

Any advice?

PPM - PS Integration - Error during PS Project creation

Hi,

 

Could anyone please help me with an integration issue between PPM and PS?.

 

I am working with PPM 5.0 and EHP 6.0 for the ERP.

 

I am trying to configure the creation of a project in PS automatically when an item in PPM is generated.

 

Unfortunately an error is appearing when I try to generate it from the PPM item.

 

The error says that it was unable to create the PS Project because there were some fields required that were not filled.

 

In consequence the item in PPM is created but not the PS Project.

 

I have done the following:

 

I have already activated the master switch (Area 0002 Name 007 - Integration with PS and FI/CO).

 

I have created an item type exclusively for PS projects in Global Customizing > Portfolio-Independent Settings > Define Portfolio Item Types

 

I have created a model PS project including the WBS level 1

 

I have done the mapping between this two in Global Customizing > Portfolio-Independent Settings > Map Item Type to Project or PS

 

To mitigate the error I have modified the setting of all fields in PS Project and WBS so there are no required ones during the creation (I understood that doing so the error should not appear but it still does so).

 

This last thing I have done it in Project System > Operative Structures > Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) > User Interface Settings > Define Field Selection for Work Breakdown Structures.

 

Also, after leaving no required fields in the settings of PS, I have created a Project and a WBS in CJ20N and it does not pop ups the error that appears through PPM.

 

I am attaching the error and the configuration done as screenshots (I am not including the PS WBS and Project field configuration because it is too long but I have eliminated all required fields).

Checklist reference resolve

Hi,

     We want a user with write authorizationon phase level to resolve checklist reference(Creating checklist from checklist template added under phase) under the same phase. As in standard it requires admin authorization of superior element to create child element. i.e. At phase user must have admin authorization to create checklist / resolve checklist reference.  So is there any authorization object or BADI available to fulfill this need ?

PPM 5.0 Change Process - Autocreate Project

Greetings!  We are working with PPM 5.0, and use a Proposal to start our work.  We then later use Change Process to make it a different Item type.  We would like to have the Project autocreate when the Change Process is finished.  I can set the no autopro flag in configuration for Item creation to autocreate the Project, but this does not appear to work when using Change Process.  We do not resource or task plan during the Proposal stage, and we can change to three or four different Item types from Proposal, so we do not want to autocreate the Project while in Proposal because the subsequent Item types utilize different templates.  Has anyone else experienced this or can anyone give us some direction to go so that we may accomplish this?  Our ABAP programmers have looked at this and do not see an easy solution.

cFolder BOM Export:BOM usage issue

Hi All,

 

I am currently working for a project which implement the cFolder functionality.

the main function is to export the BOM information from the backend system to the cFolder specific folder.

I got an issue when I calll the transaction:CFE02

the steps:

1. a new BOM usage of service is created in SPRO

2. a new BOM with BOM usage: S is created

3. Call trasaction:CFE02 and specific folder name

4. Consistency check and get green light

5. Click" copy object" button, a red light received.

the error message: Invalid value '9' has been entered for attribute 'BOM_Usage' in namespace ''. Ask your system administrator to add value '9' to the list of values allowed for this attribute."

Message no. CFX_BI_RI_MSG1302

 

6. check the cfolder specific folder: all the header material and BOM item material numbers are there, however, single click the BOM header, the content of this BOM is empty.

 

Does anyone could give me some hint to solve this issue? thanks a lot!

Demand Transfer In SAP PPM

Hi All,

 

 

I am bit confused regarding demand transfer form my Capacity Planning to cProjects roles.

 

 

Just wanted to know if it is possible to transfer demand many time for different Period to cprojects Roles? if yes then How, I am trying to transfer demand for already transfered role but when I am trying to do it other time for same role it Grayed out...

 

 

We are using PPM5.0

Problem with resource staffing with BP in cProjects

Hi All,

I created a resource through tocde BP as a business partner general (000000) and changed it to employee role BUP003 , but when I am trying to assign this resource in cProjects system displays message “The search provided no results; choose other search criteria”

 

I also tried to create a resource from Portfolio Project management administration > Services and it generate a BP No but when I am searching this BP No for assignment in staffing tab system again displays message “The search provided no results; choose other search criteria”.

 

Appreciate  if someone can help me to find out possible reason

Buckets details can't be displayed, the error mention "No Internet Access"

Hi All,

 

I got a  error regarding the Bucket details display.

When I single click the button"List of buckets", all the Buckets are list out.

then I just single click one of the buckets name and I got the error in Chinese"IE can't disply this page,the possible reason: 1. no internat access. 2. web server has the problem. 3. the addrss is wrongly keyin.

 

Meanwhile, When I disply the Protfolio items, I can display the Bucket name & items. no any error message popup.

 

Does anyone have any ider why I get this error message?

Portfolio object in PPM

Hello,

 

How are you? I would like to ask you if is possible to segregate portfolios in PPM. For example, I have 5 different portfolio, but I want to create a role that let users, to administrate (write/read) only one portfolio and read everyone else.

Project display only

Hi,

         Could someone let us know how to open the project in the edit mode from within the portfolio item. If you click on the project tab within the portfolio item and choose either tasks or roles, the project opens in a window but it opens in display mode. Any pointers is highly appreciated.
