We are trying to set Deletion status for the PS Project which is assigned to cProject in PPM.But getting error "Account assignment object is not archivable". cProject has Archived status still unable to set deletion status of corresponding PS Project.

Hi All,
I have entered information in Financial Planning tab for Bucket.
I am tracking Cost related data as well as Revenue related data.
I see a button at the top -- View Chart -- and I get just one option -- Top Down Plan vs. Proposed Plan
Can we configure this to get additional options like e.g. Top Down Cost vs Top Down Revenue, etc? If yes, please let know the IMG path.

I need to upgrade to a PPM 5.0 to PPM 6.1 on abap system NW.7.0 EHP2.
This system is connected to the SRM 7.0 EHP2 backend and Enterprise Portal 730.
If you do the upgrade of the PPM i must also provide for the upgrade on the SRM o EP?

Hi All,
I am using browser for PPM.
I have an item which creates a project (PM) automatically - exactly as specified in config guide.
After editing project, I close the browser window and open the corresponding item for editing.
However I get an error message "Item is display only; related project currently being edited". If I open the project again, it shows me in a non-edit mode since "it is already open".
How does the system register the close of project screen (or any other PPM screen)? It seems like closing browser is not the same as closing the PPM screen I was editing/viewing. Also I did not find any button which looks like a feature of "close" that particular screen. (hope i have explained the issue correct)

Hi All,
I am configuring "Defining Search Help for Portfolio Management" for PPM 6.1
As per config guide, we need to define this in Common Functions --> Search --> Define Search Help for Portfolio Management .
I am unable to get any value in "Search Help Name" (No values found).
Am I missing some configuration here?
Note: Search Help for Project Management however has a lot of entries
Can we create both PS project and cProject from Item creation in one go using standard functionality ?
I know we can create cProject and transfer function to create PS project, but right from Item creation is it possible ?
Ialways thought its either PS project or cProject from Item .. please let me know Gurus.

I am configuring PPM 6.1
I need to activate workflows and as per config guide, we do this in SPRO as follows
Portfolio Management --> Global Customizing --> Global Settings --> Workflow Settings --> Activate Workflows
The screen that opens up is Task Customizing Overview. And I dont see any details under the PPM node.
I was expecting list of workflows with an Activate button/menu.
What is to be done on this screen (Portfolio Management --> Global Customizing --> Global Settings --> Workflow Settings --> Activate Workflows)?
Note: when I open up each RPM workflow in SWDD, I find the status as Active.

I need to hide all the capacity management (i.e. resource/headcount) related features from end user.
I will need Resource function only for admin to create PPM users since we don't have HCM in scope. We are NOT doing an IT PPM implementation.
Where can I disable the capacity related tabs and views? I need just Portfolio and Project.

We are able to update the commitments from the WBS level to PPM Project Financial view with Value type as 40 . Now the PR/PO which are created with reference to WBS are also flowing as commitment value type 40 as total . Now we want to display the PR /PO as separate commitment items .
We have created new Value types 91 and 92 , but what is the other things to do , so that these commitments are flowed to PPM from the ECC .

Does anyone has an idea what could be the cause?
After saving the item.... system does not creates the PS project, an error message "Errors occurred during processing (see error log) is displayed also the "create project on saving" indicators gets unchecked and the project template field greyed out.
This is happening for some project templates only, others work fine the PS project gets created.
already double checked :
the relevant switches under "Overwrite default global settings"
Maintained the portfolio item types with correct configuration
Maintained the mappings between item type/PS template
Maintained the object link types correctly
This is happening only on our quality and production environment
any help on this is appreciated, already tried finding any difference on the PS templates they are same.. even copy of each other

I am trying configure Financial Planning Settings in PPM (mapping Financial View to Cost elements in PS/FICO) to bring the Budget (Value type 41) to PPM.
The options in IMG to map are - Cost element/Cost Element Group, Cost Center/Cost Center Group, Activity Type.
From what I am reading Budgeting is not possible in PS (standard) at Cost element level.
I do not think Cost Center Budgeting is done in my landscape, and I do not have enough information on this to evaluate if this is even an option.
So I am wondering out of the 3 options above, what is generally used for completing this configuration mapping to bring the Budget values to PPM?

/RPM/PLAN_INT_PREP report is used to instantiate customizing settings for Financial Capacity Planning.
If we are already having a Production environment and introduce new settings for Financial Capacity Planning, would running /RPM/PLAN_INT_PREP cause any data issues?

Currently this is a 2 step process. You have to Delete Assignment of the old initiative on the item page then you have to locate and open the new initiative and locate and ADD the item to it.
We have a custom web dynpro component for item maintenance. We would like to be able to change the initiative there and have all the backend PPM elements updated appropriately.
We already have pieces that update the PPM item from this custom app. We cannot find anything that will allow us to change an item's initiative.
Been searching for a solution but am coming up empty.

In C folders, when trying to compare a Data sheet, a blank file is getting saved.
What to do to get the excel sheet with values. All the hyperlinks like Data sheet overview are working fine
Please help me. Am i missing something or need to configure something.

I am using PPM 6.1
What is the significance of Task Type in PPM - Project Management ?
I find the following issues
1. Unless I set the task type, I cannot release the task. What could be the reason? Can I eliminate the usage of Task Type field?
2. I have defined custom task types in customizing, however these are not reflected in the Project Template. Instead I see them in User Settings --> Defaults in project template as well as the operational project.
3. Even after setting the defaults, the default values for task type are not getting set when I create a new task or a new operational project from the template.
Please provide guidance on usage of this field. Also why I am not seeing my custom task types in the operational project tasks?
