Bucket Roll up of Item's Copied Groups

Hi All,

 

I'm facing an issue with roll up from Item to Bucket using /RPM/FICO_INT_PLANNING report.

 

More specifically the issue occurs when I'm trying to roll up Financial Planning data from a Copied Group in an Item to bucket.

 

Customization is okay (it works fine for the groups that are set up in customizing). The issue is, if I want to see in the bucket from where the roll up data origins by "including subobjects" I get a line for the Item as expected, but it holds no data for the periods I have planned cost. So it shows "0" in all periods and in the "Grand total". It does show the figures in the "Grand Total" column for the "Category" and "View" to which the "Group" belongs.

 

Financial planning for the Item and Bucket is attached as example.

 

Anyone who knows of this and might have a solution?

Empty Resource Overview Dashboard

Hi,

 

we implemented PPM 5.0 for project and resource management.

 

So far, the application works fine for the requirements within Project Management/Administration.

But we can not use the functions under the Resource Management tab of PPM (with NWBC).

 

We do not use Portfolio Management yet.

So I wonder if these functions work only in combination with Portfolio Management?

If so, why do I see data in the Resource Management tab for the staffing screens, but not for resources?


Attached are two screens which explains my dilemma.


I figured out that there are some switches in customizing where I can influence the screens (e.g number of columns), but not what needs to be activated or configured to let the data appear for resources.


Please take a look on the screenshots.

Any advice is appreciated.

Custom fields in table View

Hello Experts,

 

                     We wanted to add custom fields at task. We tried below activity,

 

1. Enhance DB table, added  the field in structure DPR_TS_TASK_EXTENDED_ATTR, object type TTO.

2. Define field groups for custom fields

3. Set up field control.

 

 

But fields were not visible we tried server restart for the same but it didn't help. So, We used configuration Show Additional Tab Pagesin Project Management under Project management Node in SPRO and used our Z webdynpro component to display those fields into respective tab. However, this fields are not visible in other views like graphics & table view . We searched here and found 2 notes 947936 and 972339 but this cannot be implemented in 6.0. How to achieve this ?

PPM: Tasks and checklist dashboards

Hi all,

 

We are working with PPM 6.0.

 

When opening project dashboard I get to see the last projects I have been working with. The weird thing is that when using checklist item, or task dashboards, I don't get to see the last objects I have accessed.

 

Any help would be appreciated!!

Certificate does not exist

Hi,

       We are trying to upload a document from within the "Documents" tab in cProjects. Once the check-in button is clicked, we get an error "Certificate does not exist". We have this problem in the dev system. Could someone throw some light on what the problem could be?

Page can not display in PPM6.0

HI experts,

 

our basis had installed the IDES EHP7 including PPM6.0, and I have done some configurations.

 

now the problem is that, if I click to create a project or a portfolio, the webpage will not be displayed.

 

I have checked that the URL address will be redirected to an unknown address. for example, my correct URL should be http://test.corp.com:8000, but after I click to create a new project, the URL of pop-upped page will be http://eccde.wdf.sap.com:50080.  Strange!

 

am I miss some configuration steps? can anyone help me on this.

Project Data not visible on Dashboard

Dear All,

                   It's little urgent for us. All the data of the project is not visible in several dashboards like project, tasks etc. we have been through this thread Why are all my dashboard columns empty but it is not helping as it has stuff to do with evaluation. We just want the respective data of the project to be shown on the it's dashboard columns like Project Type, Dates, Resource , Work Complete Etc.

 

If anything to do with configuration please provide the steps of the same it will be highly appreciated.

SAP PPM-Easy Cost Planning

Hello All,

 

Can someone kindly throw some light as to how Planning needs to be

done when CProject is account assigned to Costing

Objects like Internal Order or WBS elements. As to my understanding

its done through Easy Cost Planning in these costing objects. But my understanding is Easy

Cost Planning does not support Cost Distribution over Period Breakdown. So how is planned cost

Distributed and passed to PPM Financial Capacity (which needs cost distributed over periods)?

asking for user id and password in cFolders

Hi,


My Client Using SRM 7-PPS . Bidders are unable to open the cFolders, while opening the Tech RFx , system asking for user id and password .


User ID and Password not desirable....they want direct access with out user id and Pw .


please explain why it is asking for user id & Password.


iam attaching screen shots for you reference.


Please guide me how to resolve this issue...

Project and portfolio management ACL issue

We have a case where we want to restrict access in the project structure to subproject only.


We receive following error in Project management for project structure:
Project “x”: no display rights
Notification due to reference object “x”

 

User has the key user and analyze ACL defined in user tab for the subproject of a project. No access has been assigned to the main project.

The notification does not prevent the visibility to subproject.
User does not have authorization in the backend for ACO_SUPER object, since we must limit the access to the subproject only.

Does anyone know that to which reference object does this notification refer to? And what access in ACL settings or in backend is needed to remove this message, besides ACO_SUPER?

HR Data Maintainance

Hi All,

          We have created several users as resources on PPM under Employee role and provided their HR Employee number. Now the problem we are facing is some of this users are available as resource in Project However others are not. While analyzing the issue we found that this few cases are where they left company for few months and get back while others were being constant in the company. So i think there must be some link with the data to HR so can anyone please what could be missing ?

Question about SAP PPM 6.1 Installation

Hello experts,

 

We will deploy SAP PPM 6.1 recently.

 

As I get the installation information from SAP PPM 6.1 master guide for the minimal system landscape (we have SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 installed)

Question 1: We need to install NetWeaver 7.4 with addon PPM and business foundation, and SAP NW Adobe Document Service, right?

 

Question 2: Can we just install ADS and NW ABAP in one physical server?

 

Question 3: For our ERP we have three system, now we also need to installed three system landscape?

Decision Point is inactive in Item

Dear Experts,

 

I have an issue while I approve a Decision Point is a particular Phase, the "Decision Point (DP)" is having Inactive Status, Now the "Decision Point(DP)" can not be approved to proceed further with next Phase.

 

Kindly give me some input where the link has been broken between DP and Phase.

There is no tick mark on the current active DP.

Custom tab in Project Management

Hi,

      We have implemented the BADI DPR_DETAIL_TAB_CTRL. We have few custom tabs that have been incorporated at the task level. We would want to control the display of those custom tabs. Is there any method that would return the label of the custom tab?

Cproject structure with cross-company resources

Hello All,

 

Kindly guide as what will be the best C-Project structure to

handle the below which might involve:

1. Resources from Multiple Company codes under same controlling area

2. Resources from Multiple Company codes under different controlling area

My scenario is a New Product Development scenario in which resources from

multiple part of the world will collaborate. It also needs accounting integration

with Backend WBS elements, time confirmation need to happen using CATs. Should multiple CProjects need to be created and

for each company code (as a sub project) and connected using Tasks assigned to Sub Projects ???? Please guide.
